E-TEN has revealed that the release of the X610 and V900 smartphones is imminent. This comes after announcing both handsets in February and confirming their release in June. According to the Unwired website, the V900 is the first Windows Mobile DVB-T 3G smartphone, and the X610 is a lower specification model offering 2.5G data transfer but still running under the Windows Mobile operating system.

Further details include a Samsung CPU running at 533Mhz for the V900 with a quad-band GSM/tri-band UMTS/HSDPA. Expansion is provided for by Bluetooth 2.0+EDR plus a microSD slot and built-in Wi-Fi. Location finding is available via GPS and entertainment is supplied by a FM tuner. Complete with 128MB of RAM and 256MB of ROM, and a 2.8-inch touch-screen, the V900 also arrives with a three-megapixel camera.

The X610, an upgrade to the X600, also includes a touch-screen spanning 2.8-inches of QVGA quality. It runs slightly slower than the V900 at 400Mhz but does feature quad-band GSM/EDGE as well as Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and Wi-Fi. No specific release date has been issued.
