Vodafone Foundation looking for eight individuals as part of their 2009 World of Difference campaign
Just over two weeks are left for volunteers to apply for a one year role working for a UK charity overseas. The Vodafone Foundation as part of their 2009 World of Difference campaign is looking for eight people who could each earn a salary and expenses package worth up to £45,000. As long as their chosen charity is UK based, the eight chosen applicants can choose which charity they want to work for, while relevant skills, experience and knowledge will also come into consideration.
It's the second successive year the Vodafone Foundation has run this scheme following 2008's World of Difference programme that saw Lucy Caslon commit fulltime to a charity she co-founded in Africa in 2006. 'Msizi Africa' focuses on children who have been left without parents and family due to the AIDS pandemic.
The closing date for applications is 30 July, while an online application can be completed at www.vodafone.co.uk/worldofdifference.
