BluFM offers handsfree calling with FM radio

14 December 2007

The BluFM from Gear4 enables phone calls via Bluetooth over your car stereo while also transmitting FM radio.

Pair the device with any Bluetooth mobile phone and BlueFM will interrupt your music to alert you to an incoming phone call. Accept the call and, through the built in microphone, you can hold a conversation completely handsfree. Using Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, any echo noise is cancelled out to enhance call quality. Once a call is ended, the device will automatically switch your music back on to the point it was originally stopped.

The FM transmitter function works by plugging the BluFM device into your car's cigarette lighter, and it also houses a 3.5mm audio jack meaning the device can be hooked up to any MP3 player. Gear4's BluFM accessory is available now for £49.99.
