Handset offers more user friendly screen
The BlackBerry Storm 2 – which has still to be formerly announced and has thus been the subject of recently leaked images and information – has appeared within a new video.
Despite the featured phone sporting an early model chassis, supporting 'in development' software and offering no Wi-Fi plug-ins (they will follow, however, before the official roll-out), the phone has made a good first impression.
In fact, according to the Crackberry website that created the actual video, the new model is much improved over the first Storm incarnation. 'It feels nicer in the hand and the concept is executed more cleanly. Improved engineering all around. Examples: better battery door integration (no need for "feet" for an ill-placed speaker port or hooks to hold the door in place; tighter tolerances (no gaps/light shining through); buttons are part of display.'
Other features of note included an enhanced screen interface with an improved 'feel' during operations. The screen display 'gives' when pressed, offering feedback through the solid glass.
No price, release date or distribution details are available at the moment.
