Battery mobile charger pen for mobile phones released

03 September 2008

New portable charger supports 100 minutes of charge time

A new mobile charger, released by the Gadget4all website, can add around 100 minutes of charge time. The mobile device, in the shape of a pen - which does work - holds a single AA battery (standard type or rechargeable). The device can then be plugged into a mobile phone when you are on the move, to recharge the handset while you wait. The device also arrives with five different adaptors to cover most popular mobiles such as Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson.

The 100 hours of charge time means that a typical phone's power will be increased by around two hours of talktime and around 20 hours of standby time. The Pen, which is sized at around 146x20mm, weighs 45g.

The device is available now and is priced at $19 but you'll need to supply your own battery.
