Alcatel says design, simplicity and practicality are at the heart of its huge new range.
French manufacturer Alcatel has been busy developing more than 20 new models for the coming year including; a new 3G entry level handset, a tri-band mobile and its first ever HSDPA modem.
The new collection can be divided into four dedicated handset categories: Essence, Life, Flavor and Brand Design.
Alcatel says the Essence category is designed for the customer who requires a user-friendly handset at an affordable price. The range includes Alcatel's first GPS phone for sat nav: the S218. All models within the Essence category will incorporate enhanced colour screens as well as slim-line casing and easy to use functions.
Alcatel's Life range of lifestyle handsets includes its first ever HSDPA device, the X020, set to land in the latter part of 2008.
Alcatel claims its Flavor (sic) category includes handsets with strong design, innovative finishing and fresh variety of colours and includes the brand's first tri-band model - the V770.
Finally, the trend led Brand Design Lab category focuses on collaborations with brand partners such as Mandarina Duck, and Elle.
