iD Mobile enters PAYG field, offers 4GB at just £15!

iD Mobile today launched a new range of SIM-only Pay As You Go plans, letting customers choose from cost-saving bundles or even choose out of bundle tariffs.

The new range of contracts signifies iD Mobile's entry in the pay As You Go segment for the first time ever.

iD Mobile's new SIM-only Pay As You Go plans start at just £5 a month and go up to £15 a month. If you're looking for a non-bundle plan, you can go for iD Mobile's 'Out of Bundle' which will cost you 3p per minute, 2p per SMS, 3p per MMS and 1p per MB of data consumed. The 'Out of Bundle' rates are among the lowest in the industry, with 3p a minute sounding like a treat when compared to 30p a minute charged by the likes of EE, Vodafone and O2 and 35p a minute charged by Virgin Mobile.

iD's new rollover plan lets you use your entire mobile data allowance

The £5 Pay As You Go Bundle comes with 125 minutes, 500 SMS and 100MB of 4G data. The £10 one brings in unlimited texts, 500 minutes and 1GB of data and the top range £15 one lets you consume 4GB of 4G data, unlimited texts and 1000 minutes. If you go for the 'Out of Bundle' plan, you will be charged 2p per minute for calls to USA, China and India, 5p per minute for calls to Ireland and Poland and 7p per minute for calls to Italy.

The new plans from iD Mobile involve no credit checks or contracts. iD Mobile will also let you keep track of your consumption via the iD Mobile app and buy additional credit or new bundle whenever you're running out of or allotted data or minutes.

How much data can £15 give you?

Earlier this year, iD Mobile launched UK's first ever free rollover data plan which let customers with 12 or 24 month GoTo contracts and one-month GoTo SIM-Only plans completely use one month's data allowance before they could start using the next month's data. How much data has already been consumed and how much remains to be spent can be found in your iD mobile app or through the My iD Account section of idmobile.co.uk.

“Data is one of the key considerations when choosing the right plan to suit your lifestyle, and we know data usage can vary from month to month, and can often result in higher monthly charges. This is why we’ve introduced Data Rollover, to give our customers more control over their plans and better value for money,” said Adam Dunlop, General Manager at iD. iD's GoTo standard contracts offered handsets for free along with attractive text, minutes and data plans.
