Best Black Friday deals from networks this year

With Black Friday sales kicking off earlier this week with most retailers and online stores participating, the major UK networks aren't willing to be left behind as well.

Here is a selection of Black Friday deals being offered by major networks and some others too.


UK network Three has announced it's range of Black Friday deals across Pay As You Go, SIM-only and 24-month phone contracts. Active from today till 28 November, these include major discounts across all categories as well as Three's Christmas deals which come with three months free on 24-month handset and 12-month SIM-only plans.

Three's best SIM-only offering is a 12-month contract with 2GB of monthly data and 200 minutes a month. If you grab this deal before the 28th, you'll be able to save £30 which you can use for other expenses. Three is also offering FitBit trackers for just £69 apiece but you'll be able to purchase it in-store and not online. There are only 1,000 of them on offer so you better hurry if you want to get one.

Three is offering the 64GB Apple iPhone SE with 8GB of monthly data and AYCE minutes and texts as a Black Friday deal, letting you save £187 on the true cost of the contract. You can also save as much as £229 if you buy a 32GB Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with 8GB of monthly data and AYCE minutes and texts. A similar deal for the Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 will let you save £165 on the actual cost.
If you're looking for a kids' tablet, Three is offering the Amazon Fire Kids Edition tablet on a 24-month contract with 2GB of monthly data. You'll be able to save £69 on this deal over the length of the contract. However, Three also has other deals for the tablet which will let you save up to £111 over the next two years.


giffgaff has launched it's Black Friday sales starting today and will continue to offer attractive deals for an entire week, stating that one day isn't enough for them. If you're looking for a phone on a Pay As You Go deal, the network offers among the best discounts among its peers.

The 32GB Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, which costs £499?, now costs just £399? and the 32GB Samsung Galaxy S7 now costs £449 on giffgaff compared to i's usual price of £499. Other premium phones like the Galaxy S7 Edge, LG G5 and iPhone 6s are now available at discounts of £40, £50 and £20 respectively. You can also go for cheaper handsets like Sony Xperia X Compact and Huawei P9 Lite at discounts ranging from £20 to £50.

giffgaff is also offering 4G ‘goodybags’ with these handsets which you can buy for prices ranging from £5 up to £20. The £20 goodybag will come with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and ‘always on’ UK data. These offers will be live will midnight on 30 November.


EE's star Black Friday deal is a 20GB SIM-only deal which usually costs £34.99 a month but is now available at just £19.99 a month. The SIM comes with AYCE minutes and texts and offers users the ability to use their minutes and texts in the EU region.

EE is also shaving off major portions off upfront pricing on the new 32GB Google Pixel and the 32GB Apple iPhone 6s. Earlier, EE was offering the Pixel on a 5GB data and AYCE minutes plan which cost £45.99 a month and £79.98 upfront. The deal now costs the same in term of monthly cost but the upfront cost has come down from  £79.98 to just £9.99. Similarly, a 2GB plan for the iPhone 6s with AYCE minutes and texts now costs just £35.99 a moth with no upfront cost. The plan also brings in a six-month free subscription to Apple Music.

EE are also offering an Alcatel Pixi 4 smartphone for free is you buy it with a £20 top-up on or before 28 November.


Like EE, O2 are also offering 20GB of data on a SIM-only plan for just £20. You can also buy a 2GB SIM for £18 a month, a 1GB SIM with 1000 minutes for £15 a month, a 500MB SIM with 500 minutes for £12.50 a month and a 250MB SIM with 250 minutes for £10 a month.

O2 are also offering some discounts on 24-month handset deals. The Samsung Galaxy S6 is available for £23 a month with an upfront cost of £9.99, letting you save up to £62 in the process. The new Sony Xperia XA Ultra is available for £25 a month with no upfront cost, letting you save up to £48. If you're interested in buying the Huawei P9, you can get it before 30 November from O2 by paying £26 a month and no upfront cost, saving up to £81.99 in the process and the larger Huawei P9 Plus is available from £29 a month with zero upfront cost, letting you save £57.99 in the process. O2 will also be offering the Sony Xperia XA for just £139.99 on Pay As You Go, letting you save as much as £90 on the deal.
