Like its name suggests, the Blade V7 Lite isn't as powerful as the Blade V7 but can serve as a handy mid-range phone featuring the latest specs and features. It has been designed for one-handed usage and comes with powerful cameras, Smart Gesture control, quick-launch apps, a 5-inch HD display and a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
The phone's internal hardware includes a 1.0 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13-MP rear camera and an 8-MP front camera. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and features a lightweight aluminium body with a thickness of just 7.9mm. It's arrival in the UK comes as a surprise given that ZTE had announced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona back in February that the phone will launch in Russia, Mexico, Spain, Germany and Thailand in Spring 2016.
“We’re really excited to kick off our new partnership with ZTE with the addition of the ZTE Blade to our range, and we look forward to working closer with them on future handset launches. ZTE is carving out a strong space for our customers who want reliable and feature rich smartphones without the premium price tag,” said Andy Webb, Buying Director of Mobile at Carphone Warehouse.
Carphone Warehouse will also launch another ZTE phone named the Blade A110 which should be made available either today or by tomorrow. The Blade A110 is a budget phone featuring a quad core processor and a 5-MP camera and will be available at just £49.99 on Pay As You Go.
