Apple didn't play around much with the basic design of the iPhone this time, but added a layer of shine to make it look more premium and appealing, and boy has the trick worked. Both iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are now available in new Black and Jet Black colours, and these have caught the attention of Apple fans everywhere.
Carphone Warehouse claims that pre-orders for the iPhone 7 in the UK are 200% more than those of the iPhone 6s around the same time last year. In fact, the 'Black' models have accounted for three out of every four iPhone sales, relegating the popular Rose Gold model in the process.

“Black may be the favourite colour for the new iPhone 7 but it's gold when it comes to Carphone Warehouse's delivery service. I'm looking forward to making sure customers are among the first in the UK to get a new handset,” said Olympics gold medallist biker Jason Kenny who, along with fellow cyclist Laura Trott, will lead Carphone Warehouse' new 'gold standard' delivery system.
Though the new delivery system, Carphone Warehouse aims to deliver pre-ordered iPhones to customers as soon as possible. Thee two champions are leading a procession of couriers who will be delivering brand new iPhones to customers, and the lucky ones may get their handsets delivered by the champions.

“Demand for new iPhones is at record levels as people rush to be amongst the first recipients. We want to ensure our customers get their hands on the new phones the moment they launch, and what better way to do that than enlist the help of two of the fastest Brits around,” said Jeremy Fennell, Managing Director of Carphone Warehouse.
Before pre-orders for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus opened, Carphone Warehouse also claimed that the numbers of visits to the retailer's pre-registration web page were 71% higher than prior to iPhone 6s launch and 28% higher than in the period prior to the launch of iPhone 6 a couple of years ago.
