Galaxy Note 7 pre-orders open, SIM-free handset to cost £699

Carphone Warehouse today opened pre-orders for Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 and has made the device available in-store for demos.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be available at £699 SIM free as well as in a range of tariff options.

Samsung launches Galaxy Note 7: All you need to know

At the moment, the device is available only to pre-order or to try out at Carphone Warehouse' retail stores. If you pre-order one, you will get a new Gear VR headset for free and will be able to choose from a range of tariff options. However, if you want to buy the device straight from the store after trying it out, it will be available for purchase at stores from September 2nd.

Among the tariff options on offer is one from Vodafone which comes with 6GB of 4G data and all you can eat minutes and texts. The plan costs £42 a month along with an upfront cost of £59. You can also pay £699 to pre-order the device SIM free.

Samsung launches new Gear VR headset to go with Galaxy Note 7

Featuring a 5.7-inch curved Super AMOLED display, Galaxy Note 7 also comes with impressive internal specifications as well so it can be- like Samsung says: a multi-functional device for all kinds of users. Be it  consuming and creating media, editing and modifying work files or even experiencing the world of VR, the Galaxy Note 7 offers the processing power to multi-task at ease.

In Europe, Galaxy Note 7 will be available with an Exynos 8890 processor, the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, 4GB of RAM, a powerful 3,500 mAh battery and 64GB of storage. If you need to save all your music and videos in the phone, the Note 7 further packs a MicroSD card slot as well. Like Samsung's Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge phones, Galaxy Note 7 also comes with Dual Pixel 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras.

 

Vodafone opens Galaxy Note 7 pre-orders

Vodafone has also opened pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 7 which will be available in Black Onyx and Blue Coral colour options. If you can pre-order the Galaxy Note 7 on or before 28th August, you will receive your handset by 30th August along with a free Gear VR headset and depending on your preferred plan, free access to Sky Sports Mobile TV, Spotify Premium or a NOW TV Entertainment Pass.

Vodafone is offering the Galaxy Note 7 in two 24-month Pay Monthly packages. The Vodafone Red 12GB Bundle costs £57 per month with an upfront cost of £20 and will let you access 12GB of 4G data along with unlimited minutes and texts every month. The more expensive Vodafone Red Value 20GB Bundle costs  £63 per month with an upfront cost of £20 and will let you access 20GB of data and 4GB of inclusive roaming, plus a choice of free access to Sky Sports Mobile TV, Spotify Premium or a NOW TV Entertainment Pass.
