Samsung Gear S3 with rotating bezel to arrive in five variants
Samsung has scheduled a press conference at IFA in Berlin between 11AM and 12PM on September 1st. In the conference, not only is the company expected to launch the Gear S3 smartwatch which is presently code-named Solis, it may also launch the Galaxy Tab S3 following the launch of the Galaxy Tab Pro S earlier this year.
As per existing rumours, the Gear S3 smartwatch is being developed in the form of five different variants, namely named SM-R760, SM-R765, SM-R770, SM-R765V, and SM-R765S. Sammobile, a well-known authority on Samsung-related news, believes that two of these models will be carrier variants and will launch with SIM-support. Sadly, there are no leaked images or specifications available in the web which could give us an indication about the capabilities of Solis or how it will look like.

Sammobile also adds that like its predecessor, the Gear S3 smartwatch will feature a rotating bezel and will come with a round watch face. It will also run Samsung's home-grown Tizen OS instead of Android Wear, given that the operating system didn't cause any complications as such in the Gear S2 smartwatch which was launched at IFA last year.
A recent report from Sammobile also revealed that Samsung may also launch Galaxy Tab S3 tablet at IFA along with the Gear S3. The existing Galaxy Tab S2 was launched in July of last year and it is possible that its successor will launch in September at the IFA event. As of now, there have been no leaks or rumours on what the Galaxy Tab S3 will feature or will look like and we suspect if Samsung will even launch it this year, given that the company has already launched a larger Galaxy Tab Pro S as well as Galaxy Tab 4 Advanced with premium specifications and features.
