Android N vs Android Marshmallow: All you need to know!
Last year, we were wondering if the G4 was really all that LG could do and if they could really come up with something better. In came the LG V10 and we were well and truly knocked out cold. The phone arrived with dual front-facing cameras, a replaceable battery, a second always-on display, a 2TB MicroSD slot, 4GB of RAM, a fingerprint sensor and a non-slippery ruggedized back and the best of all, a 32 bit Hi-Fi DAC by ESS Technology to bring the best in class music technology to our ears.
Naturally, the fact that LG is going to launch a successor to the V10 got us drooling at the possibilities. Sadly, LG hasn't revealed any details about the phone yet but has confirmed that the phone will launch in Q3 which means any time before October. HTC is expected to launch its Nexus handset in October so LG has beaten it to the Android N crown, so it seems.
LG V10 successor being prepped, suggest rumours
As per LG, the new Android Nougat features that we will get to experience in the V20 are Vulkan-supported graphics for more immersive gaming , Direct Reply feature to reply to texts straight from the notifications interface, and the upgraded Doze feature for better battery efficiency. There are hundreds of other features that the new OS will come with and unless LG decides to put in its own UI, you will get to experience the wonders of Android Nougat in its full glory first on the V20.
“We are excited to offer the first phone in the world to feature Nougat out of the box. The LG V20 upgrades and extends its predecessor’s cutting-edge multimedia features a step further, providing distinctive mobile experience and sets a new standard for premium phones for consumers,” said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company. While we were expecting LG to launch the G Flex 3 as well later this year, it seems the V20 will be all that we will get to see.
