Sony Xperia XA pay monthly deals are here!

Following O2's lead, Vodafone, Three, Carphone Warehouse and Virgin Media are now offering Sony's Xperia XA with a bunch of Pay Monthly deals.

Xperia XA costs £279.99 and is available on Play Monthly deals starting at £15 a month with no upfront cost.

O2 was the first UK network to offer the Xperia XA with Pay Monthly deals from June 23. As of now, its cheapest offering is a £17 a month deal which will give you 100MB of monthly data but which pales when compared with deals being offered by the likes of Carphone Warehouse and Virgin Media. While Carphone Warehouse' £19 a month plan offers 500MB of 4G data and 500 minutes, Virgin Media is offering a £15 a month deal with 250 minutes, unlimited texts and 500 MB of 4G data.

Three's Pay Monthly offers for the Xperia XA start at £18 a month with 500MB of monthly data and 300 minutes. While it is costlier than Virgin's offering, Three is offering a 50 per cent discount on monthly payments for the first six months, which means that you will need to pay only £9 a month for the first six months. Vodafone, on the other hand, is the only operator charging hefty upfront fees with all Pay Monthly deals for the Xperia XA. By paying £30 as upfront fee, you will be able to get the Xperia XA on a £19 a month deal which will give you 500MB of data and 600 minutes. You can also avail a £24 a month deal for the Xperia XA which will give you 1GB of 4G data but you will need to make a £10 upfront fee.

The mid-range Xperia XA features a 5-inch display with an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It also features 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, a MediaTek MT6755 chip and 13MP and 8MP cameras. The phone also comes with a MicroSD slot, curved glass display which moulds perfectly with the metal unibody as well as the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system on-board.

The main USP of Xperia XA, however, is battery life. Sony has adopted Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology which works with its home-grown smart battery management system to offer longer battery lives to the phone. These technologies can make the phone last as long as two days on a single charge. Thanks to Qualcomm's QuickCharge 2.0 feature, Xperia XA will also charge up 40 per cent faster than existing Xperia phones.

Just like Xperia Z series phones, Xperia XA features Sony's TRILUMINOS Display for mobile technology, edge-to-edge display and can work as a remote control for PlayStation 4. Sony is also offering a range of matching Style covers for the phone just like it has done for Xperia M5 and C5 Ultra phones.
