While most manufacturers are bringing in two variants of new phones to cater to both smartphone and phablet lovers, ASUS has not only announced the ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Ultra for such customers, it has also launch ZenFone 3 Deluxe for those who love clicking high resolution pictures on their smartphones.
ZenFone 3 Deluxe comes with no antenna designs and features a full metal body with a 4.2mm edge, probably the thinnest in the world. The phone comes with a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, an impressive 79 per cent screen to body ratio, the latest Snapdragon 820 processor along with Adreno 530 graphics unit and 6GB of RAM, making the phone among the best in the world in terms of specifications. The phone also packs a USB Type-C port for quick file transfers and Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 technology for faster than ever charging.
The primary 23MP camera in ZenFone 3 Deluxe also brings in a Sony IMX318 sensor, a f/2.0 aperture, 4-axis optical image stabilization and 3-axis electronic image stabilization for steady 4K UHD videos.
The ZenFone 3 is slightly shorter than the Deluxe with a 5.5-inch Full HD Super IPS+ display which is protected by a 2.5D Gorilla Glass screen. Featuring 4GB RAM, the phone also rocks a 14nm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, an integrated X9 LTE modem and 802.11ac MU-MIMO Wi-Fi connectivity. The phone offers a built-in fingerprint sensor for added security along with a 16MP primary camera with ASUS TriTech autofocus technology, phase detection and continuous auto focus.
The largest among the three phones, ZenFone 3 Ultra somes with a large 6.8-inch Full HD display with 95% NTSC color gamut. The display is powered by ASUS-exclusive Tru2Life+ Video technology and can display videos in 4K UHD resolution. The phablet also features two new powerful five-magnet stereo speakers and a NXP smart amplifier to deliver high quality audio.
Specs-wise, ZenFone 3 Ultra comes with Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor, Adreno 510 graphics, 4GB of RAM and a high-capacity 4,600 mAh battery for prolonged usage and which can also be used as a power bank to charge pther phones. Like the other two phones, ZenFone 3 Ultra comes with USB Type-C port for quick file transfers and Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 technology for fast charging. Like the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, ZenFone 3 Ultra also features a 23MP primary camera with ASUS TriTech autofocus system.
ASUS has not announced the UK pricing of the three phones as yet, but we will let you know about partnering carriers and available deals before the three phones are released in the country.
