Finally, earphones that store your music: The Dash by O2

O2 has announced a pair of new wireless earphones named The Dash featuring music storage, a microphone and sensors.

The new earphones will let you listen to music saved on its storage and even those stored on other devices via Bluetooth.

Thanks to the microphone in the earphones, you will be able to answer calls and the sensors packed in them, namely the step counter, heart rate monitor and blood oxygen sensor, will be able to track your activities like running and cycling. Since the earphones are waterproof up to a depth of one metre, the sensors inside can track your swimming as well!

Weighing at just 13g, The Dash earphones can fully charge in under two hours and will offer you a talk time of three hours. However, on standby mode, the earphones will stay alive for as long as 250 hours. It runs a 32-bit ARM processor and a Digital Signal Processor and supports music files like A2DP profile, MP3, AAC and SBC audio codec. The earphones come with 4GB of internal storage which is large enough to save around a hundred songs.

You will be able to charge the earphones with a USB charger with microUSB connector. The earphones also feature Bluetooth 4.0 which come with Limited support for Windows 10 Mobile.

Retailing at £249.99, The Dash earphones are now available in Black at O2's online store as well as retail stores in Manchester Market Street and London’s Westfield White City.
