CES 2016: ARCHOS launches 40 Power and 50 Power smartphones
Launched at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, ARCHOS Diamond 2 Plus is as big as iPhone 6s Plus but as capable as Google Nexus 6P or Samsung's Galaxy S7 Edge phones. The phone sports a 5.5" Full HD display which incorporates 2.5D curved edges for extra viewing angles as well as an impressive pixel density of 400 ppi.
Despite being a phablet, ARCHOS Diamond 2 Plus is surprisingly light at 130g and is quite sleek with a thickness of just 8.3mm. There's a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera lens as well as a microUSB Type-C port for quick charging and data transfers.
Archos unveils under £200 4G smartphone
Featuring the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, ARCHOS Diamond 2 Plus is the first smartphone to offer the impressive combination of a 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It runs a 64-bit Mediatek octa-core processor along with a 2.7GHz Mali GPU that is powerful enough to handle your multi-tasking and gaming needs.
ARCHOS Diamond 2 Plus packs a 20MP rear camera with a Sony sensor and an 8MP front camera. The phone will let you record videos in Full HD resolution which will not be as impressive as a 4K video but will also consume much lesser storage space compared to the latter.
