Leaked benchmark scores reveal performances of LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy S7 phones
A look at the leaked images pretty much match up with the rumours that have been circulation in the last few weeks. An all-metal frame, dual-rear cameras, volume keys on the side and a Nexus 6P-esque fingerprint scanner are all there, so what remains to be confirmed now are the interiors.
We tried placing these new images of the G5 alongside an image of the Quick Cover case that LG launched recently to tease the phone's measurements. As per what we saw, the shape does match up but we'll still prefer to wait till February 21 to be sure.
Thanks to the Quick Cover case, we know that G5 will sport an Always-on display just like the celebrated LG V10 does. The case will let you view the upcoming phone's Always-on display without opening its cover and view call alerts, date and time, e-mail notifications and Twitter alerts.
The colour of the Quick Case cover also matches up perfectly with the colour of the G5 that got leaked today. As far as the interiors are concerned, a leak on Chinese social network Weibo has tipped the G5 to rock a 21MP camera with an Iris scanner (which will also be used as a mode of biometric authentication), a 5.6-inch Quad HD display as well as a Snapdragon 820 processor.
LG teases its upcoming G5 with Quick Cover launch
LG has already sent out media invites to the G5's launch event that will take place on February 21st at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, stating, ""We would like to invite you to the unveiling of LG's next flagship model at MWC.”
Along with the G5, LG will also launch three new mid-range phones with varying capabilities- the X cam with powerful cameras, the X screen with dual displays and the 5.7-inch LG Stylus 2 that will feature a nano-coated Stylus.
