Your next Nexus device could have the HTC logo

Google may launch two new Nexus phones this year in partnership with HTC, having launched two Nexus phones in 2015 in partnership with Huawei and LG.

Google Nexus 6P in-depth review - Simply the best

HTC's phones sport distinct looks, design and feel which makes one recognize them instantly, until he comes across the Huawei Mate S which looks a lot like HTC One M9 at the back. If you love HTC phones, the upcoming Nexus phones with pure Android N features will be perfect for you. Just like the Nexus 6P and 5X, we expect Google to launch a mid-range and a premium phone together later this year.

The fact that HTC will manufacture the next Nexus phones was revealed on Weibo, a Chinese version of Twitter. As per the report, the two upcoming Nexus phones will have, much like the Nexus 5X and 6P, 5-inch and 5.5-inch displays. The news, if true, should come as a shot in the arm for HTC as the Taiwanese phone maker has been facing mounting losses over the years thanks to lack of sales.
