Samsung Galaxy S7 cases reveal design of Samsung’s next flagship

Samsung's Galaxy S7 flagship phone isn't due until March, but the design of Samsung's next big thing was laid bare recently thanks to some leaked images of Galaxy S7 cases.

Mobile Fun, a UK-based smartphone accessories retailer, leaked the said images of Galaxy S7 cases along with the phone itself. The retailer is now selling FlexiShield Samsung Galaxy S7 Gel Cases in Black, Blue, Frost White and Purple colours for $8.99 each and has also put up Official Samsung Galaxy S7 Clear Cover Cases in Black, Gold and Silver colours for sale at $29.49 each.

Samsung Galaxy S7 to feature USB Type-C port and pressure-sensitive display

As per the available images, the Galaxy S7 seems to be sporting a rectangular home button between traditional multi-window and back buttons. The device also looks like featuring more rounded edges than the existing Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge devices which had sharper edges.

Apart from Gel cases and cover cases, Mobile Fun also put up Galaxy S7 Clear View Cover cases in Silver, Black and Gold for $58.99 each, Galaxy S7 Flip Wallet Covers in Black and Gold for $36.99 each and Galaxy S7 Keyboard covers in Black and Gold for $73.99 each. The site also listed several Backpack accessories for the Galaxy S7 as well.

Samsung Galaxy S7 could get Snapdragon 820 chips, but UK models may miss out

This isn't the first time that we've seen leaked reports or images of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge phones. A report in The Wall Street Journal last month suggested that Samsung is thinking of adding a retina scanner which will boost the phone's biometric authentication. As per 9to5Mac, 'Samsung's new display will be based on Synaptic's recently-launched ClearPad 3700 force-sensing touchscreen controller which will enable 'variable speed scrolling, new ways to zoom and pan over pictures, new contextual menus, and other features.'

Several other rumours that have emerged over the last month have tipped the Galaxy S7 to feature a USB Type-C port for quick data transfers, an external memory slot and a 20MP primary camera. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge phones are expected to be unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in March.
