Even though Galaxy A9 has been subjected to several leaks already, the latest one is probably the most trustworthy yet. As per details available on GeekBench, Galaxy A9 will rock a Snapdragon 620 (MSM8976) processor with four Cortex A-53 CPU cores and four Cortex A-72 cores. It will also contain an Adreno 510 GPU as well.
Other confirmed features include Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, 32GB of internal storage. 3GB of RAM, 16MP and 5MP cameras as well as a 6-inch Super AMOLED display.

However, we aren't sure yet if Galaxy A9 will pack a microSD slot for additional storage, nor do we know how the battery will be like. Nevertheless, the available specifications suggest that apart from being the largest Galaxy phone, it may also be the most capable one.
The leaks emerge at a time when a Global Web Index study revealed that one out of every three Samsung phone users would consider buying an Apple iPhone which may put Samsung's financial future in doubt. Even though Samsung still sells the bulk of phones globally, Apple still rules as far as premium phones are concerned. In fact, over 40 per cent of Chinese smartphone users would consider an iPhone purchase as well.

Since Galaxy A9 will surely be punching at the premium spot when it will get launched, it could become another low cost option for buyers to consider ahead of Apple's iPhones which, despite their cult following, continue to stay out of reach of many mid-range buyers because of high pricing.
