Let's talk about the upcoming flagship. Even though you must be used to getting bombarded with tonnes of features and specifications of upcoming phones, separating the grain from the chaff is usually difficult. So we've tried to bring together the ones that seem to be obvious upgrades to the existing features that currently reside in Xperia Z5 phones.
Sony Xperia Z6 is set to feature Qualcomm's next processor which could be the mother of all chips that power today's phones. The potent chip is capable of offering download speeds of up to 600 Mbps and can also let you stream multiple 4K Ultra HD videos with faster Wi-Fi support.
Samsung Galaxy S7 could get Snapdragon 820 chips, but UK models may miss out
With the Xperia Z5, Sony has not been able to completely sort out the overheating issue which has plagued several generations of Xperia devices. Let's hope that the Snapdragon 820 will help resolve Sony's Achilles Heel come March.
The chip will contain Adreno 520 GPU which is stated to be 40 per cent faster than the Adreno 430 GPU in the existing Snapdragon 810.
While Xperia Z5 holds a 3GB RAM, most rumours are suggesting a 4GB RAM in Xperia Z6 which will perfectly complement the Snapdragon 820 while running HD games or 4K videos.
The Xperia Z5 series received much praise for the 23MP rear camera which can churn out DSLR quality images. The grapevine has a feeling that Sony may either ramp it up to 25MP or may add more sensors to it. The 8MP front camera is also set to be armed with a single LED flash which will make your selfies look better than ever.

Sony Xperia Z6 is expected to arrive with a maximum internal storage of 64GB coupled with a microSD slot which will let you add up to 256GB of additional storage.
However, Xperia Z6 Compact may still feature 32GB of internal storage in addition to a 256GB microSD slot.
Given that Xperia Z6 will sport a Snapdragon 820 chip, it will also support Qualcomm's QuickCharge 3.0 which will let you spruce up the battery by up to 80 per cent in 35 minutes. This will also bring in a new Type-C port along with a 3,200 mAh battery to boot.

The rumours are increasingly gaining ground amidst reports that Sony's entire Xperia Z range will start getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrades soon. The devices include Xperia Z5 , Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact phones.
