Pepsi P1 has Full-HD display, 13-MP camera, octa-core processor for £72

Pepsi has launched its new super-cheap P1 phablet phone in China as part of a crowdfunding project which lets buyers get hold of their funded devices for an amount equivalent to £72.

We call the Pepsi P1 super cheap because of the stuff it holds. Imagine getting your hands on a 5.5 inch Full HD display, an octa-core Mediatek processor, 16GB of storage, 2GB of RAM and 13-MP and 5-MP cameras for much less than £100! We aren't talking about used devices here.

We wish Pepsi had chosen the UK instead to crowdfund their first phablet.

Pepsi P1 Android phone brought to you by Pepsi, the cola giant. For real!

Pepsi P1 also holds dual SIM slots one of which can also be used as a microSD port for added storage. This lets you choose between carrying an additional SIM card or increasing the storage which can be an easy call for some. The phone also carries an impressive 3,000 mAH battery and is LTE-capable, making it not very inferior to premium phones that dangle price tags worth ten times as much.

Pepsi P1 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and is available for £72 for the first 1,000 units. After this stock sells out, Chinese customers can pay a slightly higher figure of just over £100 to get new ones. Fancy a trip to China?
