The fact the Samsung is working on a new generation of Galaxy A3 and A7 phones is no longer a closely guarded secret. Detailed specifications of two new phones surfaced on GFXBench and were later scooped up by Sammobile.
As per the leaks, the new A3, bearing a model number SM-A310, features a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, an Exynos 7580 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage and 12MP/4.7MP cameras.
In contrast, the A7 is larger with a 5.5-inch display and a superior resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The processor is an octa core Snapdragon 615 and the device holds a more capable 3GB RAM even though the storage remains the same at 16GB.
The cameras in both A3 and A7 leaks are the same in terms of resolution and contain light sensors. You will be able to record Full HD videos with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
In-depth review of Samsung Galaxy A5
We aren't sure if the phones will be named the A3 and the A7 post launch, neither does GFXBench say much about official launch dates. We can only expect Samsung to come up with a few teasers in the coming days once testing of both devices is completed.
