While we're all going nuts about how the upcoming Nexus phone will look like and compete with the best in business, we've compiled a list of leaks on the two new phones including their names. To say the truth, we've been impressed.
To begin with, Huawei is working on a 5.7 inch variant of the upcoming Nexus phone which will be the first to feature Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This makes it a more exciting prospect. It’ll be rather slim on the outside as well, being just 6.6mm thin apart from where the camera is placed.
As per reports, LG is also working on a Nexus variant with a smaller 5.2 inch display. The smaller variant, like Huawei's, will feature a Chrome custom tab, Android Pay, a primary camera sensor, a USB Type-C charging slot and a fingerprint sensor on its rear panel.
As for how these phones will be named, we came across a few hints. So far, Nexus phones have been given simple names like Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 6 etc. However, the two new phones will bear alphanumeric nomenclature. The larger 5.7 inch and the smaller 5.2 inch variants will be named Huawei Nexus 6P and LG Nexus 5X respectively.
As for their pricing, the LG Nexus 5X is being tipped to be priced at £260 for the 16GB model and £295 for the 32GB model. No such details are available about the Huawei Nexus 6P as yet.
Rumour has it that since Android 6.0 Marshmallow will offer native support for the 64-bit phones, there is a high possibility that both phones may end up featuring 64-bit processors.
With Google virtually announcing the next Nexus phones, we're sure about laying our hands on some more juicy details on them before the launch happens less than a week from now. If we do, you'll be the first to know!
