Wileyfox has just launched two new handsets in what could be further competition in the mid-range market in the coming days. Named Swift and Storm, these devices could be what you need if you're looking for simple smartphones at sub £200 prices.
Priced at £129, the cheaper Swift handset features a 5inch HD display, a Snapdragon 400 processor, 16GB of internal storage, 2GB RAM, 13MP and 5MP cameras, a 2,500mAh battery and 4G connectivity.
On the other hand, the pricier Storm, costing £199, features a 5.5inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 615 processor, internal storage of 32GB, a 3GB RAM, 20MP and 8MP cameras, a non-removable 2,500mAh battery and 4G connectivity.
Based on the Android architecture, both phones contain a Cyanogen interface which contains SecureMSM technology which offers data security as well as various customisation options.
While you won't be able to find the Swift and the Storm in retail stores, both will be available for purchase at Wileyfox's website as well as online stores like Amazon, Ebay, JD, Souq, Expansys and Clove.
While Wileyfox isn't really up there with the best of mobile phone manufacturers like Apple, HTC or Samsung, it still offers the best of specs at sub £200 prices, especially a 20MP primary camera, 32GB internal storage or a 5 inch plus HD display. Both the phones are also based on 64bit architecture, which should let you run the fastest gaming apps for long periods.
