While it isn't news that Huawei is working on a 5.7 inch variant of the upcoming Nexus 7, fresh images leaked today suggest that the upcoming phone possesses looks that are far better than its rivals.
Serial tipster @OnLeaks, who previously leaked out the Nexus 7's features that included the fingerprint scanner, has leaked out images of a prototype which could end up being the launch version soon.
The images betray a complete metal body which gives the phone a sturdy appearance. Huawei has been launching a range of metal-body phones of late, so this comes as no surprise.
While Nexus 7 will be the first phone to feature Android 6.0 Marshmallow which makes it a more exciting prospect, it'll be rather slim on the outside as well, being just 6.6mm thin apart from where the camera is placed.
As per reports, LG is also working on a Nexus 7 variant with a smaller 5.2 inch display. The smaller variant, like Huawei's, may contain a USB Type-C port and a fingerprint sensor.
We know that looks can only be skin deep, and the Google Nexus 7 won't disappoint with its inner beauty as well, if leaks are to be believed. What we know so far is that the phone will feature Android M, fingerprint sensor, Chrome custom tab, Android Pay, a primary camera sensor, a USB Type-C charging slot and a fingerprint sensor on its rear panel.
Despite these details, we are yet to hear about the hardware like internal storage, processor, RAM or even the type of battery that Huawei will put in the phone. However, given that the launch date is still months away, we're sure a few more leaks will ooze by in the coming days.
