HTC has launched its new mid-range Desire 626 smartphone as a successor to the Desire 620 that was launched last year.
Desire 626, available in White Birch, Blue Lagoon, Purple Fire and Dark Grey colours, will feature a 5-inch LCD display, a 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor, a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front camera. It will run on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and will also feature HTC's own Sense user interface.
The new phone will also feature the new HTC BlinkFeed™ through which will let you access your personalised online content and can stream effortlessly. Right from your home screen, you will be able to stay in touch with the latest news as well as social feeds.
To offer a boost to its existing camera technology, HTC has also introduced a HTC Eye™ Experience for editing images and adding instant effects.
In terms of internal storage, the phone will have an installed capacity of 16GB and its microSD slot will be able to support an impressive 512GB of extra storage, making you less dependent on cloud technologies.
Even though HTC has not revealed the pricing or release date of the Desire 626, we expect the phone to be available by the end of this week. What HTC has so far confirmed is that the phone will be sold through Carphone Warhouse as well as by network operators like O2 and Three.
