WhatsApp has introduced several new updates for Android platforms that should help you link your lifestyle with the chat platform. Amidst an array of chat platforms available for free, we believe these updates should let WhatsApp prolong the edge it has in its domain.
Here are five new updates that WhatsApp has introduced and here's how they can change the way you deal with chat platforms:
Flagging messages as unread
This update lets you mark any incoming message as 'unread' for future reference by long pressing on the message. This is essential when you are required to respond to someone but are currently occupied.
Save data on voice calls
WhatsApp is also letting you use new options in settings to reduce data consumption on voice calls. You can find these options under 'Chats and Calls' menu within the app.
Mute a chat
Another new setting will allow you to mute any conversation on WhatsApp for up to a year.
To give you more options to toggle its settings as per your preferences, WhatsApp has also brought in new settings for adjusting vibration length, setting new tones, setting ringtones and new pop-up notifications.
While the new updates are yet to appear on Google Play, you can still download them now from WhatsApp's official website.
