Apple have decided to recall Beats Pill XL speakers after it turned out that the speakers were prone to overheating and could cause harm to users.
By returning the speakers, existing owners will be able to claim for an electronic refund of £215 or can receive an equivalent amount in Apple Store credit. However, the issue seems to be limited to Pill XL speakers and other Apple devices are safe to use, as per a statement by the Cupertino giant.
Originally available in black, metallic sky, pink, titanium and white colours, the headset was a result of Apple's acquisition of the popular Beats music service as is considered among the largest selling headsets in Europe, the United States and Canada.
While Apple's products are generally known for their stable and risk free life cycles, the latest news from Apple suggests there's hardly any gadget that you can take for granted.
