Windows 10 music app will be a Spotify lookalike

Microsoft is set to release the next Windows 10 operating system as well as the mobile OS by July this year. Dubbed as the most advanced and revolutionary platform to come out of Microsoft's stable, Windows 10 will be released in 190 countries in 111 languages.

At the same time, music lovers will have no need to fret as the music app in Windows 10 OS will feature looks similar to popular music streaming service Spotify.

Even though we are not yet fully conversant with how the app will work and what features it will contain, an Xbox Support page appeared on Twitter revealing an image of the new music app.

Featuring the Windows 10 colour scheme of black and white colours, the app looks deceptively similar to the Spotify screen and also bears close resemblance with the Xbox app for Windows 10.

The music app will also come with a Music Preview which will be pre-installed separately. It will contain user playlists, the exhaustive Xbox music catalog, songs ripped from CDs, songs copied on OneDrive and also those purchased from music streaming sites.

While the official release is still over a month away, we expect Microsoft to reveal more details about the versatile music app in the coming days.
