Samsung is planning to unveil a new virtual reality device for its premium Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge smartphones later this week, the company revealed on Wednesday.
To be named the Samsung Gear VR, the new device will be available in a While colour model and will be priced at an equivalent of £150 in Korea. Samsung has previously launched a VR device that linked with its Galaxy Note 4 through a micro USB port. However, the new device will be comparatively smaller than the existing device.
Offering a 360 degree rotating vision to the user, the new VR device will also carry a 96 degree field of vision through which you will be able to enjoy a life-like experience.
The move by Samsung seems to be its move to push sales of its VR devices given the mass popularity achieved by the latest Galaxy S6 smartphones around the world.
However, Samsung is yet to reveal availability dates and pricing of the new VR device in US and European countries. We'll let you know as soon as we know more.
