In order to give the newly-launched Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge impressive looks at the time of their release, Samsung are reportedly inking a deal with Marvel to recreate the phones with Marvel's futuristic designs.
Last year, Samsung had released its Penvatar software for the Note series with several designs featuring Avenger icons. This was a result of Samsung and Marvel Entertainment entering a global partnership in June. Samsung's customers also received a three-month free subscription to Marvel digital comic library as well as exclusive previews of Marvel movies debuting in 2015.
Even though we have not come across any official statement from Samsung or from Marvel specifically regarding the Galaxy S6 phones, we expect to hear from them by April 10, when the phones will be available for sale.
Marvel's reputation as the world's premier entertainment brand is not lost on Samsung. In June, Younghee Lee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics, had said, “Samsung is passionate about the stories around our products and the people that use them. Partnering with Marvel gives us the opportunity to bring our industry-leading mobile display technology to life. Through visual storytelling made possible by Marvel’s outstanding entertainment universe, Samsung’s Galaxy users will be able to enjoy the maximum of our product benefits.”
With excellent curved features and full metal and glass body, the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge were literally crafted from scratch to bring in a makeover that could change the way consumers felt about Samsung's devices. With additional designs featuring the famous Avengers, the Galaxy phone surely be the products to die for.
