Apple has finally announced its next big event to be held in San Francisco on 9th March.
Hosted by the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, the upcoming event has already got most fans speculating on the official release of the much anticipated Apple Watch.
To be available at price tags starting at $350 for the Sport model, premium models including the Edition could cost a lot more, depending on the specs as well as the overall finish. Having said that that the Apple Watch could roll off the factories by April, March should be a good time for Tim Cook to finally announce the official release date, and reveal a few hitherto unknown features too.
However, we at Mobile Choice have a few more things in our wish list that we believe could be announced in tandem with the Watch.
While we can safely assume that successors of the iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus won't lift their veils until September, release dates of the iPad Mini 4 and the all new iPad Pro (some call it the iPad Plus) could be announced on March 9th. The latter is set to take the crown for being the largest iPad ever with a 12.9" screen and a impressive 11000 mAH battery, if sources can be believed.
If the iPads are announced, it won't be too far-fetched to predict the release of the all new iOS 9. Earlier, 9to5Mac revealed that Apple is working towards performance enhancements on the new platform to get rid of bugs and increase stability rather than piling on new features, in what is being termed as 'a collection of under-the-hood improvements.' It is also believed that the iOS 9 could power the Apple Watch, though it's not confirmed yet.
Some sources do suggest that the iOS 9 launch could happen in Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in June, there's still enough scope for the launch to take place earlier.
If the Apple Watch is indeed accompanied by the new iPads as well as the brand new OS, this may turn out to be the most happening Apple event in years.
