Pebble, the revolutionary smartwatch company have today launched a new kickstarter campaign to raise $500,000 (£375,000) over a 31 day period.
At the time of writing this article, they had already raised $371,550 in the 13 minutes since the campaign went live.
Do you want to bet on how much they will raise?
Anyway, I digress, the smartwatch will feature a colour e-paper display and microphone and will come with upto a 7-day battery life.
The new watch will come with interchangeable straps and will be compatible with all the 6500 apps that currently populate the Pebble app store.
To start shipping in May, Pebble Time is water resistance and is customisable in a variety of different ways. It comes with a soft silicone band but owing to its size is compatible with all 22mm watch bands. A quick-release pin allows you to swap bands super quick and whther it is plastic, leather or steel, as long as it is the right size, you are free to change its looks.
With a microphone on-board for notes and voice replies, Pebble Time is just 9.5mm thick and the curved design makes it an easier fit for most wrists. Gorilla Glass makes an appearance on its lens and it is surrounded by a stainless steel bezel.
Both MisFit and Jawbone apps are compatible with Pebble Time and it can work alongside phones running iOS 8 on iPhone 4s and above as well as Android 4.0+ phones including Samsung, HTC, Sony, LG, Google, Motorola, Xiaomi etc.
