The all new Pebble smartwatch is just a few days away.

Pebble has put up a new mystery countdown timer for an upcoming 'big' reveal on its website, all but confirming its first smartwatch of the year.

The timer is set to go off on February 24th, a week prior to the Mobile World Congress and a month before the Apple Watch starts shipping.

Reported to be better integrated with most smartphones via bluetooth, including Apple iPhones, the new watch could cost less than £150 and contain several new features over the existing Pebble Steel.

Recent reports by 9to5Mac revealed that Pebble's new smartwatch could feature a coloured e-paper display with increased back light. This will allow users to view the screen in all light modes.

Powered by Android Wear, the device will also feature a new Cortex M4 chip, a six-axis gyroscope and a microphone.
