Not enough battery power left in your mobile? No problem. Whatsapp has a solution for you.

From now on, you can use Whatsapp messenger via Google Chrome browser on your PC or laptop if you own an Android phone.

Though there's no new login or password involved, you'll need to scan a QR Code at http://web.whatsapp.com from your Android phone.

However, you need to ensure your phone is connected to the internet and has the latest version of Whatsapp. However, iOS users will have to wait to use the feature as Whatsapp couldn't provide a web client citing Apple platform limitations on a blog post in the website.

With over 500 million Android users from all over the world, the new feature is set to increase Whatsapp's popularity, especially among those with poor battery backup in their phones and those who would prefer a larger window.

As per a recent survey, Whatsapp overtook text messaging as the largest communication platform in the world with over 30 billion messages exchanged every day.
