Reports have suggested that the Apple Watch will be released in March this year ending months of speculation on the exact details o the extremely hyped announcement in Autumn 2014.
9to5mac are reporting that sales staff will start receiving training from mid-february with the Watch going on sale from March 2015.
The framework for the Watch called the WatchKit was released for developers in November last year and the unofficial announcement is sure to throw other manufacturers into a tizzy who have this year been focussing on wearables rather than flagship phone launches, case in point being Sony.
The Apple Watch will be available in three flavours. Polished or Black stainless steel will feature in Apple Watch Sport, the not so plain regular Apple Watch will be available in grey or silver anodised aluminium and the high-end luxury Watch Edition will be available in a choice of rose or yellow 18 carat gold which will not have the malleability of regular gold used in jewellery.
All the versions will be available in two sizes: 38mm and 42mm Said to feature a side-winder and to be called the Digital Crown instead of the pinch and zoom that we have come to associate with Apple touchscreen products.
Pricing details are not known yet but the Apple Watch will retail for about $349 (£290) in the US.
