Finnish gadget maker Jolla announced today that it is including Canada and Australia to the list of countries where its Sailfish OS-based tablet will be sold next year.
US, European Union, China, Hong Kong, India, Russia, Switzerland and Norway were included in the first list of countries where the tablet would be sold.
The company is currently predicting sales to start by May next year, but we will obviously know more closer to the date.
The Jolla Tablet runs on a 64-bit 1.8 GHz, Quadcore Intel Atom processor and features a 7.9” IPS display with 1536 x 2046 pixels and 330 ppi density.
The 384 gm tablet also contains a 5MP primary camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, along with a microSD slot and a powerful 4300mAh battery. The production of the tablet is funded through the popular Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign which has already raised a whopping $1,253,797 (£1 million) since its launch in Helsinki on 17th November.
The tablet can be yours by donating at least a modest $209 (£160) to the campaign.
