The Apple Watch has gone on display for one day only at Paris fashion week, appearing in a large window display at the French retailer Colette.
A further demonstration of Apple is positioning itself as a fashion-conscious technology company, the display takes up both larger front windows of the 8,000 square meter store, with three Apple Watches in each display. This marks the first time Apple Watch has been seen in public, although it isn’t clear if punters will be able to try on the watch for themselves.
Members of Apple’s design team have been spotted nearby in recent days.
Announced alongside the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus at a media event in California earlier this month, the Apple Watch comes in three different versions, two sizes, and is due to go on sale early next year.
Prices start at $349 (£215), but with high-end gold versions available alongside cheaper, sports-focused models with rubber bands, the watch is tipped to cost as much as $1,500 (£925) for the most luxurious versions.
Apple used the London Fashion Show and a partnership with Burberry to showcase the iPhone 5s last year, where the fashion brand used the phone to film video of its show.
