Apple has invited the media to an event on 9 Sepetember, where it is expected to announce the iPhone 6 and the iWatch.
Dropping into journalists' inboxes this afternoon, the invite states the date and the phrase "Wish we could say more". The event will take place in the company's home town of Cupertino, California and kicks off at 10am local time, which is 6pm in the UK.
The company is widely expected to show off the new iPhone 6 in two sizes - one measuring 4.7 inches and the other 5.5 inches. Both are much larger than the iPhone 5s, which is four inches from corner to corner.
Apple is also expected to announce a public release date for iOS 8, which it has said will launch in the autumn, along with new health-tracking features in an app called Health. This is expected to tie in with the iWatch wearable.
Earlier this week it was claimed that the company would announce the iWatch at the same event.
