Operator introduces special tariff to make the most of the phones social networking capabilities
3's exclusive INQ1 phone is available on both prepay and on contract from selected stores from today.
The INQ1 handset was manufactured by Hutchison Whampoa and integrates Facebook, Skype, Windows Live Messenger and Last.fm, as well as other social networking sites. The handset also enables users to merge their social networking contacts into one list, giving them the option of how best to contact them.
In addition, should any of your Facebook friends, Skype contacts or Windows Live Messenger buddies change their contact details the INQ1 will automatically update your phonebook.
The operator's prepay customers will be able to purchase the INQ1 for £79.99, with internet access starting from 50p per day. 3 has also introduced a new tariff specifically for the INQ1. For £15 a month on an 18 month contract, not only will you receive the phone for free, but you will also get unlimited mobile internet, text messages, 3-to-3 calls and 75 minutes to any network. For £20 a month, users will receive 200 minutes to any network.
