LG is making a smaller version of its sensational G3, which will blend the same metallic design with a more pocket-friendly screen size of five inches.
Called the LG G3 Beat - although this name could be an exclusive to China - the handset has leaked in a photograph online and is said to offer a screen resolution of 720 x 1280. According to the leak, the handset will be powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage - we expect this to be upgradeable via a microSD card slot.

Around the back, LG is believed to have fitted an 8-megapixel camera, and the phone will be powered by a large 2,300mAh battery.
Earlier reports had claimed a smaller version of the LG G3 would pack a 4.5-inch display, bringing it closer in size to other pocket rockets, such as the HTC One mini 2 and Sony Xperia Z1 Compact.
Given the rumour mill believes the LG Beat will be China-only, a slightly smaller G3 Mini could be pegged for a UK and European release. Mobile Choice understands a smaller G3 is definitely in the works, and was referred to by a source as “more of an LG 2.5” than a G3 Mini.
