A photo claiming to show cases for the upcoming iPhone 6 in two different screen sizes has leaked online.
Published on Twitter by Sonny Dickson, a blogger with a good track record for getting hold of Apple devices and cases before they are launched, the image shows two cases for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6, and also one for the lesser-discussed 5.5-inch model.
A 4.7-inch iPhone is widely expected to be announced in either September or October, alongside the public release of iOS 8 and a wearable gadget dubbed the iWatch. Meanwhile, a larger 5.5-inch iPhone is tipped to arrive just before the end of 2015.
Dickson tweeted: “Say hello to the new cases for the 4.7 and 5.5 iPhone 6!” alongside the image.
Cutouts on all three cases suggest the iPhones will have a rear camera and flash in the top right corner as usual, along with a volume rocker on the left, a Lightning port and headphone jack at the bottom, and the power button relocated to the right edge. This is presumably because Apple thinks stretching to a button at the top would be a struggle for some users.
As always, Apple will remain quiet on any new iPhone hardware until it is announced.
