A smaller version of HTC’s flagship smartphone called the One Mini 2 will launch soon, as leaked press shots of the pint-sized handset are published online.
Revealed by the notorious and often highly accurate Evan Blass on his EvLeaks website and Twitter feed, the press image shows the M8 Mini in the same three colours as the full-size model - Metal Grey, Arctic Silver and Amber Gold.

Although its screen is expected to measuring around 4.2 to 4.5 inches (compared to the 5-inch regular One), Blass does not give any details about the device. However, the image shows that the Duo camera, used by the M8 to create shallow depth of field images with blurred backgrounds, will not be present on the miniature model.
It is claimed the One Mini 2 will feature a 13-megapixel rear camera, replacing the M8’s 4-megapixel ‘Ultrapixel’ snapper. The Mini 2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor, which will see it down on power compared to the flagship model.
Another change sees the phone’s proximity and ambient light sensors (used to dim the screen and turn it off entirely when held to the user’s face) moved from the right to the left of the top-mounted Boom Sound speaker.
