Motorola is to announce a new smartphone in London on 13 May, and it is expected to be a budget-priced phone with a high build quality one of its standout features.
An invitation sent to the technology press, including Mobile Choice, reads: “Introducing the next smartphone from Motorola...made to last. Priced for all.”

The new phone is expected to be called the Moto E and sit below the year-old Moto G, which currently acts as Motorola’s budget Android handset. The Moto E is tipped to have a 4.3-inch screen and a 1.2GHz, dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and a five megapixel camera.

Alternatively, the Moto X+1 name has been doing the round online, suggesting Motorola is preparing an update to its flagship Moto X handset. For now, neither phones have been confirmed by the company, which was recently sold by Google to Lenovo.
