It launched back in February and at the time we did get a launch dare of 11 April. That date has now been confirmed, along with a new date for pre-ordering Samsung's latest flagship. That date is 28 March. So just over two weeks to go before you can get your name down for the S5, but as yet, no one is giving too much away when it comes to pricing. You can register for updates with Samsung though and we do have it confirmed that UK networks such as EE, Three and Vodafone will be offering contract deals, both 3G and 4G. On top of that, retailers including Carphone Warehouse, Phones 4U and dedicated Samsung stores will also be selling the phone over the counter (and via their online presences too).We would expect all the pricing (but SIM-free and contract) to be made available in the days leading up to that pre-order date. You'll then have around two weeks to decide who is offering the best value (probably SIM-free with a separate SIM card if you can afford the outlay). As for the phone, that offers a 2.5GHz quad-core chipset, 2GB RAM, a choice of 16GB or 32GB storage (plus microSD slot to boost more), a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 2800mAh battery, not to mention Android 4.4 KitKat, a 16-megapixel camera that can shoot 4K video, a 2.1-megapixel camera on the front, a fingerprint sensor, heart rate sensors and waterproofing. We did a comparison between the S4 and the S5 if you want to check that out. If you like what you read, sit tight for a couple more weeks and you can order any of the four colours that takes your fancy.
