Now this is a novel approach to selling a phone. Short of a TV in the house? Go see Vodafone and order an Xperia Z2 smartphone.Essentially, this looks like the same contract deals offered via Carphone Warehouse last week, but if you go direct, you get a 32-inch Sony Bravia KDL-32R433B television. Officially, that sells for around £475, although you can get one as low as £330 if you shop around. Either way, it's still a substantial freebie, both in terms of money and size.Saying that, it's a substantial contract you'll be signing too, so not something you should go for lightly. If you want to take advantange of the 4G connectivity, you are looking at £47 per month to get the phone for 'free'. So over the 24-month contract, that's not too far shy of £1,200. The basic deal only comes with 3GB of data to. If you want to download more heavily, you'll need to pay more per month - anything up to £62 per month (for 13GB), depending on your needs. But you do get that TV. At least, you do if you are one of the first 3,000 people to sign up for the pre-order, which ends on 9 April. You can find out more about Sony's new flagship phone here.
