Cover leaks for updated HTC One

We don't know if it will be called the HTC M8, HTC One Two or New HTC One. But we do know HTC's next flagship will launch on 25 March and when it does, should come clad in this rather impressive case.

It has been leaked by Twitter leak specialists @evleaks, usually on the mark when it comes to future launches. The only words that went with it were 'Holes. Time. Colors.' Doesn't exactly tell us a great deal, but the image does.

It looks like the new HTC will be offered some kind of light-up, possibly LED, cover which tells us the time and weather. We don't know if it's on all the time, we don't know if it's a drain on your battery and we don't know if does more (like show notifications). But it has certainly boosted our interest in a phone we thought has been leaked to death. Look closely and you can also see the rumoured dual-camera and dual-flash, which has been mentioned in the past too.

It all makes for an interesting launch event in a couple of weeks, when HTC launches at least one flagship phone. We say 'at least' because the same leak also points to HTC announcing a stripped down Google Play Edition, without the HTC Sense interface and sold via Google Play. So at least two launches on the day.

Previous leaks have indicated a 5-inch screen with 1080 x 1920 resolution, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM and of course, Android KitKat as the operating system. Not long to wait for confirmation now.
