Mobile pricing shows no sign of coming down significantly any time soon, as the UK price of the Sony Xperia Z2 highlights.The phone's SIM-free price leaked out last week at just short of £600, but now the contract deals are here, priced at around double that over the 24 months.Carphone Warehouse will have Sony's latest flagship from 7 April and if you sign with Vodafone, you can have the phone 'free' for £47 per month. That gets you unlimited minutes and texts, but just 3GB of 4G data. If you pay £48 per month with O2, that data allowance rises to 5GB. Alternatively, you can pay £100 down and get a deal with EE fort 20GB of 4G data for £52.99 each month. For that, you get the super slim (8.2mm) and waterproof Z2 with its 20.7-megapixel camera and 1/2.3-type Exmor RS for mobile CMOS image sensor, 4K video shooting, a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage (with microSD support). 4G connectivity and a 3,200mAh battery, not to mention the a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) TRILUMINOS display.We've done a quick compare and contrast with the previous Z1 and if you like what you see, Carphone Warehouse is taking orders now.
